When I had my 2014 TRD Sport extended cab, I wanted to take the rear seats out of mine for more storage. But didn't have the place or tools to do it. No one would ride back there anyways. Too damned small of a space.

Thus why I got a DC now. :)

Just installed RCI Offroad aluminum transmission and transfer case skids on the truck. Good news, the RCI transfer case crossmember is 100% compatible with BAMF sliders.

Everyone said "STEEL!" last time I asked about advice on skids...but I just couldn't justify the weight for a daily driver. I'm really trying hard to keep it down, since I still want to add roof racks and a hidden winch mount, and I really don't want to have to replace the Fox suspension. I also don't really wheel hard, this is more for "oopsie" protection when I'm going down a forestry road.

I did have to request an additional hardware pack to get it to work with the OEM front skid, and I lost about an inch or so of clearance there, but small price to pay for the additional protection.

Got an OV tune the other day, drives great and gets fair gas mileage with the new 33s. Did a body mount chop this morning, then went and snow wheeled in some (shitty) snow. 2" of fresh over some rock solid crust led me to only breaking like 20 ft of trail

Not today, but about a week ago. Did the CMC and installed 285’s. Don’t have a very good picture but looks way better than the stock tires. Pinch weld next, and some plastic trimming cause I still rub haha.

Yeah, that's a problem. You may need a new drive shaft.

Installed my Dobinson leafs springs! My stock ones were pretty bust and sagging a lot practically using my bump stops for everything... I got the 500-800lb set to lift up the rear 2" and get my rear suspension back.

Did put a gouge on the shackle mount though, must have used the wrong bolts. They look flat though... Did I go too light? What do you guys think.

Making some progress: Replaced my 1/4" template with the 3/4" Birch panel, got both the front and rear railings mounted, cut and fit the diamond plate fatigue mat. I need to get some more 3/4x1.5 aluminum for the side rails which I will use to "Clamp" the fatigue mat in place. Also getting some aluminum angle which will thru bolt to the bottom to provide "edging" around the birch, probably 1x1 or 3/4x1 depending what is available. Added a dense foam strip to the top of the channel for the front of the deck to rest on. Working on mounting points next, and then finishing item like radius a few corners, etc.

Does anyone know how well the Noico sound mats stick to wood? Thinking about putting that or similar on the bottom of the deck if I don't use the fatigue mat material.

    A bunch of shit...
I'd like to get them out for any kind of camping. Joshua Tree sounds like a good spot right now to not have to deal with snow. Thanks.
