    those elk don't seem to care much about people, from 2018......my kid lives in Manhattan NYC, so we had come into camp from the north where a momma bear and her two cubs had scuttled across the road in front of us, and the previous night we had a fox running around camp, so this was for sure 'better than a zoo'

    I was surprised how unfazed they were, I was very quiet at first but quickly realized no matter how much noise I made they didn't seem to get spooked. Ended up making breakfast and coffee all while they were maybe 20 yards from camp.

    Definitely beats the zoo!

    Stopped @ Mt. Whitney Fish Hatchery to take a stretch and feed the trout. It was a perfect vantage point to watch the 4 military jets training overhead. Some fun wheeling back behind the hatchery.
