    You will find that the brine is actually worse and rots the frames quicker than rock salt.

    There certainly aren't vehicles driving around me covered in salt though and I believe what they use has some sort of corrosion inhibitor added. I've actually never seen them brining the roads or salting in our area so I think we'll be fine, but I have seen them occasionally in the city. Maybe it varies by county here :notsure:

    They tried a beet juice solution up here a few years ago. They wanted to replace the brine because it looks terrible and people were complaining about it rotting their cars out quickly.
    well turns out people don't like the streets and their cars looking like a murder scene. There was red spray everywhere that season. Also turned out to stain some paints on a few vehicles so they only ran it the one season and went back to the brine.
