    Finally made an account! This is the coolest forum ever.

    My name is Lucian, I live in San Clemente CA and recently began doing some mods/cosmetics to my 2003. The build route i'm going for is a mild baja prerunner that can handle the desert at high speeds while maintaining SOME daily drive-ability ;) The truck is stock besides the bilstein 5100's which I have to say, widely exceeded my expectations. I have been plasti dipping all of the faded plastic, trim, and chrome, and tinted the windows so it's actually looking quite nice while I save up for more performance upgrades. I will try to get a before and after pic of what I've done so far.

    4 bangers !You won't believe how good these first gen Tacoma engines are. Well built and reliable. Mine has never been rebuilt and it still running amazing. No smoking or funny noises etc. I need to check the valve clearances on mine. Im putting a new crank front seal, new oil pump and new waterpump. Also the a/c tensioner pulley is has some wear. Not bad for many years running. Dont neglect the cooling system and the oil changes etc. Use only original Toyota, aisin and denso parts.

    thanks! once I got the tint I knew everything else had to be black lol. I'm saving up to get 33x12.5 tires and some Raceline wheels, I feel like that'll really bring it all together. I've had this truck as a work truck but I've always felt like one day I would dump hella money into it XD !!!
