You're not going anywhere if you don't have a snow mobile probably, though they might have the mountain roads packed down enough to be passable at this point. I got 18" in the last storm and we're due for 2-4 tonight.

Well if you're coming to the northern section and get fucked I've probably got a crew around that can extract you.

We're bringing 2 built trucks and one mostly stock. To quote Richard Hammond: "how hard can it be?"

Can you DM me your cell# as a backup plan though?

    I will yeah.

If the snow mobiles have tracks packed you'll be okay. The problem is we had powder here and there was an ice storm like 3 days before. I'd also bring chains if you have them.

Where abouts do you plan to be?

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! Snow has started here - 1/4' on the ground at 4AM. We are in the 1-3" range I think.

Uneventful ride to Freedom Toyota in Hamburg yesterday. Service done and they did the ECM TSB, as well. About a 2 hour ride each way - home by noon.

    Stay safe and warm!

Getting 3-6 inches. I haven't gone out yet to shovel the walk and start the truck. This has been a long winter.

Expect more than that, we were in the lower end of 1-3" too. 1"-3" my ass, I cleared off 3"-4" at 1am before going to bed, just cleared off another 3"-5" just now. Luckily it's extremely fine powdery snow. The vehicles, carport and trailer were completely cleared off at 1am. Didn't bother with the trailer this time. That main road is a Snow Emergency Route and they've been plowing it all night, barely looks touched.

What is normally a 30 minute round trip, in optimal conditions, just took almost an hour. I would say there was 3 inches on the roads and was coming down steadily the entire trip. I saw one PENN DOT truck in each direction (one of whom flung rock salt onto my side panel and windshield), on one of the main arteries - Brodhead Rd. I decided to take the local roads for the 18 mile round trip, rather than the interstate for about 5 of it. I couldn't make out any of the road lines. I hit the rumble strip once or twice. The local weather guy said that you should drive at leas 15-20 mph under the posted speed limit and I didn't wish to deal with the likelihood that there would be at least one cowboy out there who was flying up my ass. Slow and steady I went, keeping it in 4 wheel drive, using only 2nd and 3rd gears, never exceeding 30mph. Surprisingly, my trip yielded a 17.4 mpg for the round trip. I am surprised, given the truck was in 4WD the entire trip. I guess how fast you go does impact the mpg more than other factors. The OEM tires did just fine too, literally maybe one little slip and slide on a sharp, downhill bend.

Seems to wanna stick open and the. Door won’t latch closed.... kinda caught me at first .
