Beating a dead horse.... Fender flares

So I'm not new to how forums work (helped run one of the biggest fishing forums) but I'm a newb on TW since getting my 2017 SR5 4x4.

I've been searching the forums trying to find a definitive thread on aftermarket fender flares (I'd love OEM ones but not buying new from a dealer as the price is ridiculous) and I also posted on the Fender trade thread as well, but so far haven't been able to find what I'm looking for so I'm posting to leverage the TW braintrust.

The wife wants me to get black fender flares (I'm stoked the wife wants to do upgrades to the truck and she's onboard with suspension and new wheels and tires next) but neither of us like the look of the rivet style ones. Trying to get something that is as close to the stock OR black ones as possible. Our truck currently has the factory painted SSM ones on so plug and play is really what I'm looking for.

Any recommendations?

What about having your current set painted black? That’d guarantee fit. Cost might be more than you want, though.

Got lucky and found some TRD Pro fender flares on Offerup for a smoking deal so OEM it is.

 

Paint them with some of that bedliner in a can?

 

I believe your painted fender flares are the same as the black, plastic looking ones. Perhaps some sanding or offer a trade to someone?

 

I'm glad you found an OEM set. Forget the guys above saying to paint. Fender flares are meant to take scratches and paint will not cut it if you are going to use your truck.
