Blue Sea Split Bus?

I noticed that Blue Sea has both the 12 terminal option and a split 6 and 6 terminal option. Both would net me 12 terminals, but looks like they designed it to be half 24/7 and half switched. I was thinking this could be useful for having some leads constant hot and others ignition switched, however the diagram has a switch inline to the power feed which seems like that wouldn't be possible in our trucks since I assume both would come off the battery directly.

Is there an advantage to using the split version and having a separate switched input power or is it just making it more complicated and better to stick to the regular one that has all 12 constant and then handle switched power case by case with relays and such?

I don't have any huge overloading desires, but do want to add plenty of lighting, interior/bed power, Ham radio, and some other goodies so I will end up having some switched and some constant power needs.

I know this is old, but Google found it. Anyway did you ever get wired up. You can use a high amp relay (like 120A) to get switched power to the second side.

I just found your post looking for anyone else that might have tried the BSS 5032 in their Tacoma. Did you ever end up buying it?
