I'm not 100% sure what the situation was.

 

Can anyone recommend a weed/vegetation killer? I got something from tractor supply but it’s not killing everything. I’m using it to kill the things that grow in my dg and river rock landscape

 

...^^^... Round-Up will kill almost anything ... put it on dry leaves & etc ... give it at least 4 hours before rain or dew falling on it and it will do the job.

It has been said to cause cancer too ... so wear gloves and don't breath it in your lungs.

I have been using it all my life with no problems ... just be careful.

2-4D is a broad leaf poison but does not kill St Augustine carpet grass and Centipede carpet grass. Atrazine gets rid of clovers and other trash grass. Glyphosate (Round-Up) should kill everything. When using any of this in a pump sprayer, try adding a couple of tablespoons of dish soap, like Dawn. This works as a surfactant and the bubbles will adhere to the leaf surfaces better. I have been using this for almost 30 years with good results. When making flower beds or rock beds, it is best to use a weed block fabric before anything else is added. Good Luck.
Note: Follow directions on the container to prevent possible contamination of yourself. Always use PPE.

Anyone using a dethatcher on their yard? Do you think they’re worth it?

 

Depends what kind of grass you have. No for centipede or Bermuda. Others, yes, does help if needed.

 

It’s, uh, grass! Green in the summer, brown in the winter! With all this rain and snow, it looks like it could use a good raking this spring.

 

Does anyone have any concerns with their swimming pool with the artic front passing through this week?

 

It’s not much, but built a dog house, dog wash area, and converted an unused space into a dog area!
