When we have a bunch of snow our dog likes to stick her face down into the snow and take off running like a dog version of a snow plow.

She has fun when it’s snow play time. Loves to have us chase her around the yard. It’s pretty funny to watch.
Ya frozen twigs and berries aren’t fun. Luckily our dog is a female and very furry (Golden Retriever).

Kaz (our 97lb all black GSD) loves to shove his face all the way in the snow, over and over again. Then run around like crazy.
Make him look like he got a bad coke habit.

To all the mechanically inclined individuals...

I have an issue with the 97 randomly not starting.
Every now and again I will hop in turn the key, dash will light up and accessories work however, when turned to crank I get nothing, no clicks, no hum, no cranky.
It's manual and can be pull started so I know the fuel pump is working. After running it normally will start just fine for a few times then the problem starts again.
Have checked the battery (13.2v) sitting. Any Ideas folks? My next thoughts were faulty switch (ignition or clutch) or a bad ground connection somewhere.

Sort of sounds like the starter is sticking or the relay in the starter is sticking/going bad. You can try the old tap it with a hammer when it happens test.

Ah hell, forgot all about that trick. Thanks man!
Gonna go after lunch and give it a whack.
May just replace the starter anyway to be sure.

I would start by checking battery and starter just to rule them out. Then move from there to the starting wires.

Loose connection, bad starter solenoid, bad ignition switch or bad starter.

Start with every wire connection on the starting circuit. If they're all tight, then begin diagnosing component issues.
