Good Morning TW PA. folks. All the snow and cold makes me appreciate being in Florida until the middle of March. Will it all be melted by then?? What happened to global warming?
Be safe and most importantly folks be careful.

 

Another round of snow coming this evening/tonight then another over the weekend.

 

I must say, despite the salt and cinders on the truck, I am truly enjoying driving my taco in the snow. Yesterday, there were vehicles stopped in their tracks as I took my daughter to work. Me? No problem, especially when you drive the right way in such conditions. Even though I was apprehensive before I left, the trip was actually fun.

 

They are saying only (LOL) 1-3 inches. I have to leave by 8 a.m. to get my daughter to a doctor's appointment in Wexford (more like McCandles). Google maps says the trip is 26-30 miles, depending upon the route and should take about 50 minutes. I'll get another opportunity to put the taco out in the snow.

 

You're tellin' me.

I hurt my back lifting late last year. Physical therapist gave me the green light to start lifting again this week.

First day back? Hurt my elbow.

Did anyone hear if the guy looking for leafs for a trailer found a pair? I have a pair taken off my old 2010 laying around he can have for free if he wants. Probably has a little rust on them but hey for a trailer.

 

Yup! Especially after coming off of a back injury.

I'm just using this week to ease back into things. I likely won't be able to lift next week due to a minor medical procedure, so it'll get a chance to rest up.

 

Yes I am giving him a new pair that have never been installed.

Good report from the retinal specialist today...and an even better call from the PLCB store telling me the special order bourbon I ordered was in. Celebration tonight!

 

Just rebuilt the carburetor on dads snowblower. St1032 ariens. Darn thing is enormous! Leaked fuel from carb when running and had a fluctuating idle. Last use was 3 years. Spent 6.00 for rebuild,4.00 bucks on spark plug and 8.00 bucks on new fuel shut off valve. Started her up and so smooth!!! BUT still leaked fuel after a while.... scratched my head some, removed bowl again to gain access to brass float which I just cleaned and shook it.... doh!! Had fuel in it... rookie mistake. Been a while since a full carb rebuild. 9.00 bucks for new float. At least I can say I don’t have a Chinese carb on it ;-) will bepicking up new float tomorrow and then wrap that project up. Alsochanged oil, greased and filled tires. Getting ready for the next snowstorm.... actually preventing this from happening !!

 

I took the new 2021 Tacoma in for its first oil change. I also requested that they grease the drive shaft only to learn, the new Tacoma’s have a sealed shaft, no zerks to lube.
Time will tell if this works out...

 

Nice! I remember rebuilding the carburetors on my Ninja EX250 motorcycle and starting it up for the first time, hearing it run properly for the first time.
It was a huge sense of accomplishment, and pride in knowing that we can give new life to older machines.

 

Been that way since 2017 fronts I believe still have zerks but haven’t gotten under a 21 yet

 

Copy that, I have not been underneath either at this point. Well, not for that. I did apply Fluid Film but was not looking.

 

Looks like a possibility of 1-3” of moar white crap overnight.
