Congrats! My truck is paid off and my wife’s car will be paid off in July. It sure does feel good!

 

Thats not the american way. You are supposed to take out 84 month loan. Then in 36 months trade it in on neg equity...

But congrats! Financial freedom is a great feeling! Mine is paid off and we're just a few months out on my wifes car, but at 0.9% apr on hers, i was in no hurry. I was at 1.9 so i made bigger payments on mine each month.

To anyone wondering how to do it, trick is to set up auto payments for a higher amount (start out about $100 over your payment) once you start to get comfortable with it, increase to $200, etc etc. It'll kill your loan quickly. And you'll never even notice it missing.

Congrats! The smart thing to do is to bank the amount of the payments now and pay cash next time.

Title in hand is certainly a great feeling. Took me too many years to figure it out but I now have 4 in my lock box and the 5th likely in April.......and yes, I have a car problem.....
