    Honestly I don't care about the weight. It's an after thought but I do care about MPG's.

    If they were C rated or lighter then I could believe it but a 47# E rated 33 sounds too lightweight

    @Speedytech7 when setting up a catch can to drain back into the crankcase you'd need a one way flow valve on the drain side right? So straight engine vacuum isn't introduced directly into the crank case while running but oil can drain back to the oil pan while off

    I want to stop oil (catch can) and exhaust (egr delete) from making their way into the intake while not adding another maintenance item (draining the catch can)

    I've done a mod or two
    Catch cans just catch, they don't dump the oil back into the crank case. You dump it out into your waste oil bin, its vaporized so it's not effective as oil anymore

    @Das it mang

    not sure if you've seen this before but a Ford 8.8 rear axle sounds like it's probably almost as bolt in as the Tacoma 6 lug axle. You'd get to keep the 5 lug wheels on all 4 corners. You should be able to pretty easily find a 8.8 w/ LSD, should be relatively cheap. It's been a while since I watched this series and haven't done any research of my own but food for thought.

    other option would be a 6cyl axle from a 5 lug truck. maybe @Sperrunner can confirm since he's got one but I swear I remember reading the 5 lug 6cyl axle was 8" (or 8.4"??) which opens you up to more parts. Your tires and the 3.15 gearing would definitely suck the life out of the 4 cyl though...

    EDIT: found it, the 5 lug axle info thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/5lug-axle-info.560600/
