I run steelies with no sensors all winter. Light comes on if I drive for longer than 30 minutes straight. Then it goes off again for another few weeks until I drive that long again.

    I have this one:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BHCFNTS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_qqxlRiVNzM1SS
It can read the sensors and has an OBD II cord to reprogram the vehicle to new sensors, can also read and clear errors.

I have run these wheels on an 05 Tundra and switched them to my Tacoma when I bought it. No sensors, the light is on all the time and I ignore it. B4922D66-2AD6-46BF-A4B8-DA62DC3B158B.jpg

Did you check the tire pressure on your spare because all tires on your dash reading looks good. I just had the same happen to a friend and he called the dealership and they said the spare has a TPMS as well. Learn something new every day.$.02

They thought maybe they had the wrong MHz sensors because they weren’t working. Now they’re saying their scan tool won’t recognize the truck because it’s a 2021 and they can’t program them. So they’re removing the sensors from my steel wheels and putting them in the new wheels. I vaguely remember reading a thread about the angle of the sensors being possibly different for steel vs aftermarket. They used Shrader sensors with the rubber stem. If I could do it again I’d probably buy my own OEM and have a shop install them. I’ve wasted too much time on this I just want my dash light off :annoyed:

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
This thread may be helpful. Yes, the sensor angles are different between steelies & cast.
