My truck has had to be jump started every day for the past week. I finally got into the dealership to have them test it. They came back and said the battery was good.
Here is their print out. This is after driving for 15 minutes, and sitting on their charger for 40 minutes.

They wont replace it under warranty because it says "good battery" at the top, but "replace" at the bottom.

Also to note, when I put my tester on there, it comes back with a open cell (code f01)

12.26 volts is DEAD! You may also have something draining it overnight. Like an Amp not shutting off.

I'd say your battery is poop. I just started my 2018 yesterday after sitting since last Friday and not problems. It was -5F when I did.

The weekend is supposed to be brutal

I pulled all my fuses and hit the breaker on my amps a little bit ago. Going to check in the morning if it starts... if not its back to the dealer she goes.

Last year she started great in the cold. This year it was starting a little slow before the cold snap, then I have had to jump it each day since it got below 10 degrees.

What I find funny is even the bottom of the tester says "replace"

I would go to another dealer or have another tech run the test, the battery is absolutely bad per the numbers, the cold snap killed it and it should be replaced.

Also check the terminals to make sure they are clean. Sounds like battery is shot but doesnt hurt to check.

The advisor said anything between 12 and 12.4 is ok after I told him nominal votage should be at 12.4... I just looked at him and said no, 12 is 100% dead, 12.1 is 75% dead, 12.2 50% dead.

The only other dealer is even worse than this one. At least at this dealer they dont screw up everything.

The measured voltage is not really important to battery health, only to the state of charge.
The CCA tested 368 which is 63% state of health (based on 582CCA rating).
My tester fails the battery at 80%.
    Battery needs replaced.

Yeah, I hate the warranty tester. Between taking so long, and being pretty shitty at testing.

I had to pull teeth and raise a stink to get my battery replaced under warranty at the dealer. It was less than a year old and I was constantly having to clean the terminals and battery caps due to leakage. I had cleaned it off before my scheduled appt. and they claimed their was no sign of leakage.

Maybe ask for the service manager and explain that you have to jump it constantly. The service advisor is misinformed.

We put the car outside.:D Do it there.
Customers get pissed because we “aren’t working on their car for 2 hours”...
