You say molested, I say period correct. Ladder bars and flame jobs were a real thing for us.

@Saffa These are arguably the two best videos I've seen this year, and I watch thousands. ICON is amazing, and if anyone on the planet resembles me, it's that dude. LOL. The Alfa is to die for. I spent a decade living and working in Europe. The Alfa's are beautiful and I'm a huge fan of the newer models.
    Thanks for sharing this.

I'm a hypocrite and I know it. :notsure:

I like period-correct molestation. T-buckets, 30's & 40's cars that have been hot-rodded, 50's lead sleds, 60's muscle cars with ladder bars and deep dish rears are fine by me. But I absolutely hate the current trend of vintage cars running around with 24's & rubber bands.

Agree. Large diameter modern wheels on muscle cars is a trend that I hope goes away. That and murdered out black fucking everything. Enough already.

    Preach.

Resto-mods are cool, though. Make it look period-correct, but it doesn't flow like an overweight boat and can also turn AND stop? Wow.

I'm also not a big fan of the Rat Rod trend. I'd rather see somebody do a serious restoration on something instead of a hack job.

I can understand it if it's a far-gone car with only a few good panels, but I hate seeing perfectly restorable bodies getting hacked up

Down here it's "mod what you can find the parts for." There's a 1930's pickup (can't tell what it is precisely because of the bushes growing through it) that's been sitting as a front-yard decoration for 15 years - I think it's a Ford - and it just up and disappeared one day. No frame. No drivetrain - just most of a body. Owner got made an offer he couldn't refuse, so I expect a year from now we'll be seeing it rolling around as some kind of custom.

Thank you. The c30 is quick enough with all it's upgrades. Turbocharged 5cyl with tune and lots of goodies. The c10 has a few modern updates, but I intend on keeping it look semi stock.

Love the Volvo. I had a 2006 S40 that I special ordered for my wife with AWD, the sport package, factory body kit, and the 6-speed manual. It had the same 5 cylinder turbo in it, but no tune was offered. I never saw another one like it, and we absolutely loved that car. Then a texting teenager totaled it. She rear ended the Volvo and pushed it into the car in front at a stop sign. The teenager left in a helicopter, the guy in front left in a ambulance. My wife and mom (75 years old at the time) were not even sore the next day, and the Volvo was crushed to the doors. It was a sad day because of the loss of the car, but there was no question that she wanted another Volvo after that experience. We got her a 2015 S60R with the PoleStar tune after that, and it's a wolf in sheep's clothing. She wouldn't let me get it in the signature blue - it's a nice subdued charcoal color.
