Have you tried just bashing that back with a hammer? Serious suggestion. No it can't be limited with preload, full compression is full compression. You could limit up travel a little bit by pushing the bump stop lower but that's a last resort.

No. I thought about it though. I do have a BFH. Maybe I’ll give that a shot first.

Do that first and see if you can massage it back a bit.

What has been you all's solution to the air intake in the wheel well? Looking at the photos @deekyn just posted I noticed no liners.

I've been considering it too, I'm just on the fence. Its one of those, once you do it there's no turning back, mods. But I need to do something soon, since I have about 12 inches left of my fender liner after going to the bumper and smashing my pinch weld.

I wouldn’t say that...the hole you drill into the cowl could just be covered later. Quick weld? Screw a sheet of aluminum or sheet metal over it?

I guess so. I do have a whole saw and a home depot nearby...

I was watching really closely, looking for something subtle. And then I saw them on the wrong side of the road lol

I agree with @deekyn, it's reversible. I love mine so need to turn back and personally wouldn't like the look of a snorkel on my truck.

I got my old air intake hanging in my garage in case I ever need to put it back, living in CA I might have to to pass visual smog. No biggy if so, just put in before smog, and put the cowl reroute back when I get home.

You'd be surprised how much you can smash it back. I realized I was out of shape taking a BFH to mine. Took many breaks in between swings. I was able to move it back to be even or slightly behind my cmc, and my cmc is cut back to all hell with angled plates (not a straight cut and flat plate). I'm on 35s, but I'm only 4.3 BS, so my outer arch isn't as wide as yall with the major poke at 3.5. No real rubbing though, except minor on UCA at stuff when turned, which I'm okay with.

Order is placed for the coilovers with an estimated completion date of June 21, 19 weeks away. Let the wait begin.
