Planning on a 2" lift 6112/5160 and a deaver medium leaf pack to replace my sport suspension. I already plan on getting the ECGS bushing to prevent any issues, but is there anything else I can do to be safe? Been reading some gnarly stuff in past threads about vibrations and issues after lifting, but most of them seem to be on lifts over 2". Dont wanna spend 3 grand and have issues.

Also, does a 2" lift affect reliability of the truck at all? Bought the truck specifically to be low maintenance.

Reliability will be fine. Vibrations you’ll find out once it’s all done. Some do some dont. If you change wheels/tires make sure they’re hubcentric. Roadforce balance tires and wheels. But every truck is different. Ie. I have a 3” lift on my 2015 with 285s and it rides like glass not a vibration at any speed. Some guys fight them forever.

I felt the same. Low maintenance and did not want to pursue any vibrations. I stayed stock suspension and made room for 285's.

    285's on stock!

    Pics plz. :D

Do you have ANY up travel at all!?

Even with extended length 3" lift adjustables, and completely removed fender liners I had to space down my (and plan to get longer) bump stops to prevent wheel to fender pan contact, meaning up travel has been reduced to some degree.

I installed 5100s at the 1.75" position and had rumble strip type vibrations instantly and they remained even after alignment. Lowered back to stock height the next day and the problem disappeared and has been gone since. 2013 4wd offroad short bed 4 door model. Please be aware that some of the posts pertaining to lifts being no issue may be posted by 2wd Pre- runner owners. They have a totally different front end.

ADS 2.5 extended travel front and rear coil over/shocks.

ICON RXT leaf pack set at Stage 1.

    Front set to 2" lift.
    Rear set to 2.5" lift.

16x8 (0 offset) KMC Bully wheels

Installed the entire lift myself in the driveway, in the rain.
Barely needed any frontend alignment adjustment afterward. No axle shim or center bearing shim.

Super quiet ride, zero vibrations, no clunks or rattles on and offroad, absolutely butter smooth so far after 3000 miles on the setup.

Soon will add 4:88 gears, front air locker and ECGS bushing just for the sake of doing it while the diff is apart.

To me, 3" lifts seem excessive with IRS.
I wonder if the lifted trucks with the vibs are mostly Auto or are any actually MT?

You may find a carrier bearing drop will help if you do get vibrations
