Sweet. That's the one I have saved in my Amazon list.

After shampooing do you prop the carpet up off the floor pan to allow air circulation under it? Put fans in the cab to help it dry?

I've always wondered about mildew, etc.

    Rear bumper looks great.

Your flares, lower valence and air cowl are also in remarkable shape considering the age. I've painted all of mine twice now due to the oxidation fade.

Since you painted your rear bumper satin black, if it were me, I'd also paint the chrome piece of the front bumper satin black to match.

    Truck looks amazing. So clean.

My 04 had tint put on by the previous owner. I can't stand it on the front windows. Too dark, can't see s#*t at night, especially when making turns. I'm pretty sure it's darker than the 27% factory tint... so I'm going to have it removed on my front window. Maybe, just maybe I'll have them remove all four windows and go lighter all around. Because it's sure nice to have during the brutal hot/sunny summer days.

No, I've never done any of that although we don't have much humidity here in NM, but you should be about the same in CO... you'll be surprised how well this machine sucks out most of the water! What I do is once I'm done, I'll Crack the windows for a couple days and leave the mats out. Usually it's dry to even drive by the morning on seats and carpet.

I was thinking the same thing. I have some decisions to make soon. There's a Coastal Offroad front bumper kit sitting in my garage that I purchased for my other taco, I figured I'd put it together and put it on this. BUT, the more I drive this truck the more I think, man this truck is too nice to mess with it! Once you start lifting them and putting aftermarket stuff, doesn't matter how high end you go, despite what others say, I've never seen quality improve over a stock truck ride and performance wise. Just my opinion. Thats my responsible conscience talking, my other conscience is looking at lifts and other mods to be done! If I do decide to leave front factory bumper on I will definitely give it some love.

What the guy told me at my local tint shop is the factory tint is usually around 20%. He matched up the fronts perfectly. I didn't want them to dark either and I am really happy with the results. Also what I've done on my last 2 trucks is go over the rear slider also, with a lighter tint (not sure what % but thinking 30%-40%) over factory and that helped in darkening up the cab without really restricting visibility. Not sure on these trucks but I know alot of the factory tint is in the glass and not actual film that you can remove.

I hear ya on the build.

On my 1998 I went super mild. No beefy armor, other than sliders because I did mangle my rocker panel off road. Just a simple OME full suspension because the OEM one was shot at 180,000.

For the 04 I'm trying to achieve far better on road suspension. We'll see how it goes. Haven't installed anything yet but so far have Kings up front on Eibachs 600# springs. Local shock guru here can dial it in for me in terms of ride quality. Rear I'm going with Dakar springs but the softer valving on the Bilstein rear shocks.

Thanks man, it definitely isn't for everyone. I could probably go over it a second time and still pull out dirty water but it will do for now! I thought the same thing when I started, and it wasn't as clean as it looked lol. Appreciate it!

Did a drain and fill on the transmission fluid. Bought 5 quarts of Valvoline Max Life ATF. Drained about 4 quarts. All in all, I put the 5 quarts of new fluid in and over filled it a little so I had to drain a little bit out to get it to the correct operating level. The fluid was pretty dirty so I will put a few miles on it and maybe do it again. She's running really smooth, so pumped!!

Got some elevation yesterday on goldielocks. Bre @yotamafia came in clutch with new bilstein coilovers, spc uppers, rear shocks and an aal for the rear. Bought new rear leafs to retire the saggy original leafs. David @TOYTEC also got me a 1/4" top plate spacer to help level out the front and they got it to me in 24 hours. Amazing turnaround time at toytec! Simpletire.com sourced some Cooper Discoverer STT in 235/85/16 on some freshened up stock wheels. Taking her for an alignment this morning and should be good to go!
