    Hey if I dont have my tailgate on will it draw power? Last 3 days woke up to dead battery.

    I have a 17’ as well, there is no power component in (my) tailgate at least. Just a good old fashioned mechanical key cylinder. Methinks you need a battery or you have a different parasitic electrical draw.....

    The back up camera? I also just put brand new battery in this morning still no go but once I jump it runs all day

    There should be a supplied cap (terminator) for the disconnected camera cable in your glove compartment. Those were supposed to be there when new. Otherwise, there may be current leakage from that cable.
