I've seen threads about mystery noises. Well, my truck only has 200 miles on it, (that was almost all from one trip) and I have a noise up front in the dash. Know what it was? The owners manual sliding back and forth inside the glove box. That's it.

The transmission issue people complain about I guess I don't have in my truck. Does it feel like my 2017 dodge rams 9 speed automatic transmission? Hell no. Feels more like my Nissan Xterras 6 speed automatic transmission.
Im 6-1 and have no issues with the seat as far as comfort goes, and plenty of head room because I didn't get the sun roof. I'd never use a sun roof anyways, just don't like them.
I could see someone coming from something that isn't a truck complaining about the ride, but I again have no problem there either.

I test drove a tacoma for an hour. Not 15 minutes. You spend almost 40k, (60 if your in CA I've seen!), then all ya do is complain about your purchase, that's on you. It's a truck, not a mom wagon. SmartSelect_20210211-133641_Instagram.jpg

I love the truck, it will be a great replacement for my Xterra. No issues that I see typically come up on the forum.

It’s refreshing to not hear some pantywaist complaining. Glad you like your truck!

Awesome! I also love my truck, none of the “TW complaints”. Its quick, good on gas, looks amazing, been very reliable, excellent off road, comfy on the long trips and easy to DIY maintenance. Every time I drive it, I love it even more. Planning to keep her for minimum of 15 years. Thanks Toyota!

Same here. My Xterra is a 2006. The Tacoma is a great replacement.

I had a 2007 ranger that was replaced with the taco. That little guy was an amazing truck as well, very reliable and did everything I threw at it. Wish I could have kept it.

Love my taco more though, haha!

I find some noises come & go with the weather. Others are benign or harmless and exist for the sole purpose to make us listen to others gripe.
But when the bad ones come, you’ll know it if you ignore them.

Glad it’s none of the above for you, enjoy!

I liked those Mazda trucks with the Ford badge. There were good. So good, I’m still not sure how TOYOTA got so over on them. Must’ve the 4X4 fans lol!
But be happy, it earned a good spot in the sky too

When you adjust the stereo volume on your steering wheel do you press up/down or left/right?

In only 200 miles he has come to the conclusion that other people's complaints are invalid I guess. Hmmmm..

Maybe MESO will come up with proper up/down volume controls for the steering wheel some time in the future?

Yeah, the pics above are definitely a Ford with a Mazda badge.

Mazda b4000 was equivalent to ranger fx4, except for some interior and exterior cosmetic parts. I got my parts from ford dealer.

Those trucks are not very common in the states? Fuck load of those things here, they were made in Michigan ford plant.

Used to see a good bit of them. My first brand new truck was a 1995 Ranger so I was familiar with the Mazda version. The 4000 had the Ford 4.0, the 3000 had the Ford 3.0, and the 2300 had the Ford 2.3 liter if I remember correctly.
