Hell of alot warmer than this

 

Anything in the negative sucks.
Used to live in a part of the high desert, lowest I ever saw was -24. Then I moved to sunny southern California. today's low 40.

 

It’s the Shade temp. that grips you like a snare.

 

Correct. The reason the prairies (and I assume the mid-west too?) are so cold and windy right now are because the polar vortex that's usually centralized over the (you guessed it) the northern polar region is weak right now and has split. The vortex moves down the continent and (relatively) warmer air replaces it to the North.

Yellowknife can have this damn cold back.

 

You Canadians are tough! I would instantly die stepping out into that cold.

It was only -15c today in mid ontario. Pretty balmy.

yeah i have a pic this week showing -25F ambient just across the border and the weather this week the HIGH is around -5F to -8F all week.

 

Sure is another Surfs Up day with that wind chill. 2L of Coke lasted 16 min. before transformation,Lol
