You're not going to see increased performance with a drop in LED bulb in your fogs - no matter who makes them. You may see significantly increased glare for oncoming drivers though. Throw in a tri-color option and things only get worse as our own @crashnburn80 has already stated many times on this particular product.

As has already bee said, get a set of Diode Dynamics SS3 street legal fogs and be done with it. Mike drop ...

This is concerning. I am having my roof rack made now and am having the cutout made for their 43 inch amber / white light bar that I am about to order. As far as fog lights go I got the diode dynamics SS3 amber lights. They work very well and took only about 20 minutes to install.

You’ll get far better performance and much less hood glare running a Diode Dynamics bar on the roof with their focused TIR optics. Hood glare will limit your night vision, making you not able to see as far.

It’s pretty obvious 99% Of the lights on the market and the ones Cali raised sells are china junk.

To each their own. I like the fact that they have a amber output without a lense cover, and they look stock. I can’t stand the look of a led pod hacked into the factory location much anymore.

Then you should check out the KC G4 ambers covered in that thread. Looks stock and will be far higher performing than replacement LEDs without the glare in an actual SAE pattern.

It doesn’t seem like the morimotos produce any glare. The KCs look nice but not worth $300 to replace my perfectly good working lights as is. Maybe if they crap out one day. I love your threads by the way. Lots of good info in all of them!

They don't produce any glare. I'll give them that. (I had a set.) Then I went to the KC's and they were way better. Then I went to the Diode Dynamics Pros and they were better still. I now have the DD Max's and they're flat out unbelievable. I'm one of the few here in TW that has had so many different fogs in my truck, so I can speak to the differences in performance. Trust me, the Morimotos pale by comparison to the better fogs in the thread. I happen to have the KC's in the basement ...

That’s good to know! I try to never recommend anything I haven’t personally experienced. It’s nice getting feedback from someone that has tried all the major competitors.

Don’t know about hacked. DD is as clean as it gets. With incredible results. I too fell to the Morimoto coolness before I knew better.

Thanks everyone for the info.. I've been running GTR ver2 for my head and fogs for a while. I looked at the tricolor cause it was something different and saw there youtube video about it... There youtube video had very high output in brightness that's why I wanted to try it... Big mistake on my part... Just gonna put back on the GTRs and hopefully get a refund.. I'm ready to file a complaint with the BBB on this bait and switch transaction...
