I ordered these OEM lower control arms from McGeorge Toyota, which says will fit my truck - 2013, Base, 4.0

    48069-04030
    48068-04030

What is this mount in the front of the arm for? The stock arms don't have this. In fact, they look fairly different overall. Was the part updated?

If you are 4WD. The 4040 suffix is what it looks like you need?

Are you 2WD and NOT a PreRunner?

    Or 4WD?

Those look like 5 lug control arms, or so I assume. Definitely not the arms you need for a 6 lug.

Fuuuuuuuuuk. They even asked for my VIN number.

    Okay, I'll contact McGeorge.

Thanks for the save. That would have sucked.

That’s surprising because I’ve given them my vin in the past on orders and they’ve corrected me and sent me the right parts. They’re great though so no issues I’m sure.

when I type my VIN into a parts catalog it still gives me different options to pick 5-lug vs 6-lug, 4wd vs 2wd, and so on.
The dealer never asks me VIN. Just truck details such as year, if it's 4x4 or not, and so on.
I usually go by how it looks.
If it looks like what I already have but new, I buy it.
If it looks very different, I don't, because it's probably a different part.

Why don't you just buy the correct design cheaper on Amazon or eBay?
    It's like $30-60.
