So from my last post, about my foglight lights not working.

I’ve read up on multiple forums about people having issues with their fog lights not working either but most of them tend to be 2nd gens. But I read a tundra forum of a guy having the same issue like me right now and he said himself that he swapped out the “Parking Fuse” in the inside of his cab fuse box and foglights turned on, but I’ve looked at their cab fuse box and no where does it say that it has a parking fuse.

There’s a relay in my Fuse box in the motor named “H-LP LO” and it does control the fog light too, I’ve already bought another one of that relay (as of today).

I have yet to use the multimeter maybe because I’m an ignorant person / dumbass but I really want to find the issue.

but yeah, do we 3rd gens have such a thing called a parking fuse?

Several fuses touch this circuit but the main one is a 15A fuse labeled Fog FR in the engine compartment. See red box on page 3 of the attached. Of course it could be a relay, ground, etc. but the fuse would be easiest to check. Since you didn't mention a bunch of other stuff not working, that fuse is a good place to start. BTW the relay for the fog lights is called "FOG FR Relay" which is in the big fuse/relay box by the battery.

I’ve checked the “Fog FR” fuse and relay in the engine fuse box already yesterday and they’re fine. But like I said “H-LP LO” does control a part of the foglight too. But yeah I’ll check out if I got any loose ground or something

Parking fuse would be the TAIL fuse.

And yes that would cause your fogs NOT to work.
The H-LP LO 15A is the main fuse BEFORE the relay to the low beams. Each low beam gets its own 10A fuse AFTER the relay.
But do tell us how you came to the conclusion this particular 15A fuse is related to the Front Fogs.
When the High Beams are selected the fog lamps turn off.

    Hey Caribe Makaira,

I just recently used a multimeter onto where my connection is at on my fog light. And as everyone guessed it.. it’s not getting any power. For my the “TAIL” fuse do you think it can be a cause of the problem? A year ago I bought some winjet tail lights and it needed me to up the fuse to a 15A and I’ve been running it ever since, now I sold those winjet tail lights and still running the 15A. Do you think that can be the problem? I also used the multimeter on the “TAIL” fuse too and it has power.

The Body ECU grounds the control side of the Fog Light relay.
The Fog Light relay Control and Supply side are both powered by the Fog Light Fuse.

Can you tell us under what circumstance you checked the fog light connector?
Specially, we’re the headlights On and set to Low?

What you need to understand is that the Body ECU will not allow power to the fog lights unless certain criteria are met. What I’d don’t know is, how the body ECU determines that the headlights are on.
Nevertheless, I can not see why you are concerned about the tail light fuse, I don’t see it having any part in the fog lights functioning.

If you have power to the fog light fuse (and it is good).
Then you need to check power to the relay.
You’ll also need to check for ground at the relay. (With the fog lights ON headlights set to LOW)
If you have power and ground to the relay, then check the relay.
If the relay is good, then inspect the wiring after the relay.

I’m sure Caribe Makaria can help you much more than I.
That guy really knows his stuff. For him to help you.
You need to tell him everything you have done, and how you have checked what you’ve checked.

Fog light circuit needs input from the TAIL circuit to function.. When high beam is selected the main body ECU cuts off the ground of the circuit to the switch.
