Thank you Chew, yes the mesh ramp folds down into the trailer as you noted. Thanks for the thumbs up on this selection. It was a big relief this morning for sure. I didn't sleep last night at all LOL.

I have a basic cheap '14 tandem axel utility trailer that I use to haul a John Deer 1025R w/loader & box blade. One thing to remember is to balance your tractor over the wheels to avoid too much tongue weight. I've made that mistake and could tell a huge difference in handling. Ended up hanging the box blade off the ass end to get it balanced. Also have used it to haul mulch/dirt/trash/etc. Like others have said, put a tarp down first.

Keep your dump trailer, you will be fine. You can haul a ton and a half no problem, and up to 2 ton for short distances.

Thank you sir. Do you think there is still a need to add Timbren rear suspension supports? Or would you recommend air bags that can be deflated?

You can't really fault the salesperson, he was probably going off what he was being told. Personally I would keep the trailer. Kubota lx2610 with loaded tires is under 3000 lbs with a trailer that weighs 2800 lbs. keep the weight under 4000 lbs in the trailer and he will be fine.

Perfect! Man that parachute was a bummer, haha! My buddy still has the trailer, and feels the parachute behind his big one ton.
Glad you got it all straight. You have a great local biz for sure.

Nice trailer. You will have to close in the sides however before hauling mulch. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Sumosprings, the 1000 lb ones and keep the trailer you have. I wouldn't hesitate hauling it with my tacoma. I have the same tractor b2650, everything you described what you will be using the trailer for will be fine. Just because it can haul 9000 lbs in the trailer doesn't mean you have to. Might have to make 2 trips for hauling dirt or gravel is all.

This is a bad idea as you need to have tongue load. 10 to 15 % as a mater of fact. Don't be afraid of putting tongue load on the tacoma.

Thank you sir. The CAM Superline 12' (11K) dump is really too big and heavy for the Tacoma (too much potential to overload as someone said recently). This utility trailer will allow me to move equipment around while getting small loads of dirt and mulch. I know rugged is designing a aluminum dump trailer (5'x8") with 18" sides that could be an option down the road (if needed). I do appreciate the response and advice you and the forum have provided.

Actually, with that heavy trailer, you are forced to carry less product because the trailer is so heavy. The lighter the trailer, the better.

No. Balance your load to keep tongue weight at 10% of loaded weight. So if you are hauling 4K, adjust load to get your tongue weight to 400 lb. You will be fine with stock suspension.

Thank you, I really like this utility trailer. If I need a dump trailer down the road it will most likely be aluminum and smaller (i.e. 5' x 8'). I really appreciate all the advice. I remember looking at the truck and trailer across the road Friday on my way home from the dealer and thinking to myself this trailer is WAY too big for the truck (in my gut). I have added the picture below. Getting a trailer that works with the GVWR was lost originally, I have learned for sure.

Thank you HiPSI, I couldn't sleep last night worrying about this situation. This dump trailer was almost $10,000 and didn't match the truck well. I will send pictures of the trailer once I get it home.

I think you made a wise choice exchanging the trailers.

Our SES system is designed to be there when you need it and waiting to be needed when you don't. It's not actively working all the time much like airbags, but requires less maintenance and simple to install yourself.

I don’t worry so much about the numbers in the manual. I took my truck to a spring shop and had two extra leafs per side put in. I will carry 2000 lbs or 1000 lb tongue load and I don’t bat an eye. I’ve been hauling max loads for years in this truck and it hasn’t given me any grief. These trucks have always been under rated.
