Columbia, Missouri hunting

Anyone here hunt here or near Columbia, Missouri? I have some pretty basic questions I moved here not too long ago and looking to get into hunting. I am just curious on basically everything I need. I got my hunter safety course out the way, but that was for Illinois. I have never even gone hunting once so I am new to it all. I appreciate all the tips and help in advanced.

 

Catch on with either someone you work with or a neighbor to 'teach you the ropes'....learned deer, rabbit and pheasant hunting from my dad, archery and turkey hunting from a co-worker, and grouse hunting from a friend. In the process of trying to pass that on to my son. He got his first deer (buck) this year and spring gobbler is coming up in about 2 months. Good luck.
