New Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX flush mount install

Ordered at Best Buy for an open box “excellent” condition. This is how it arrived at my door from UPS. Debating on returning it since it was such a shit show. Not sure if this is working or will have bugs from being knocked around. This is terrible.

I would totally do that but I have an offer through my AMEX that saved me about $300. Thinking I return and just buy the new one.

BTW, What kind of deal is that from AMEX? $300 dollars that's a lot! For BestBuy only? Please kindly share the info if you can.

 

Amex platinum gives you $50 back for each purchase over $50 for up to 2 purchases ($100 total) and then there was a bonus where you can use Amex points at checkout and the exchange rate was pretty good. Came out to almost $350 off total.

 

Went to Best Buy. Guys were great. Bench tested the system, was all good and took some off the price to make up for it. Great service there.

 

Has anyone successfully used this camera? I've tried two and two different wiring harnesses and nothing but black and white garble.

I bought one of these and it's great. I have an 2018 with the JBL Premium so I don't have fader control but the wireless carplay is awesome. I appreciate all the help in this thread and the other condensed thread. Thanks.

Just purchased this head unit after doing a ton of research. Really just wanted a head unit with wireless android auto capabilities. Excited!! Now I'll need to decide on my speaker setup...

going through the install. what are these two plugs (black & white) connect to from Maestro ADS-MRR?

 

also anyone knows what this gray and white cords are for? i circled them in yellow. trying to make right connections and getting lost a bit.
also the way i understand it speakers have to be wired manually to rca white/red connectors coming from pioneer ?

 

They’re the lines for your speakers,has to be cut, stripped and connected to the maestro Toyota harness, if you’re using maestro.

Check the installation manual/ diagram

Sorry if this has been answered before but does this H/U allow you to browse a web browser through the H/U?

 

If my memory serves me right, the maestro and the maestro harness (assuming crutchfield used the maestro harness kit) for your pu model the harness is color coded to match each wire of the pioneer harness. It’s pretty straight forward.

 

I resisted commenting on this however here goes:

1. Premium Entune or JBL Entune from the factory?
2. Assuming Premium Entune, as previously stated by @Caliasada Taco, the wiring is almost completely color matched. If it is Premium Entune, the gray RCAs should have been cut and patched into the pioneer harness. If it is JBL Entune, then you have other situations to be addressed.

 

I just plugged the gray and white into the front speakers from the pioneer harness on the back of the stereo. I bought the prewired harness from Crutchfield. I have the JBL Entune system.

 

Question:
I gutted the jbl system- speakers, amp, and headunit. Do I need to flash my maestro as if it's non jbl or jbl? This sounds dumb but I'm curious

If you get a firestick and the hdmi switch plus a micro hdmi to hdmi adapted you can browse the web easily. The h/u itself will allow you to but you have to save pages and they block certain pages (like netflix) and it's kind of a stupid system.
