Condition of pole. They dig around the pole to check integrity. If no good it’s tagged and reported for replacement.

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! No snow for us - had some light stuff yesterday afternoon following some mixed stuff in the morning with no accumulation. It's 34 and raining now - some light icing on the colder parts of the driveway where it doesn't get warmed by the sun - otherwise it seems like anything that was frozen is turning to slush. Based on the radar the rain should be gone by 6:30 and the temps remain above freezing.

On to the next snowstorm on Wednesday/Thursday!!

I'm going home to pour some Patron before bed. What an absolute disaster of a shift.
Cold weather and Southern facilities do not mix.

I put the ice melt on the sidewalk. The gravel driveway is icy, but it's thin and crunchy, not as bad as they predicted. That may be because the temperature hit the mid 30s last night. It's not that now. It's about 30 degrees with a stiff wind. I understand the temperature is going to fall all day, so some of the slush may ice up again. I did venture to the road. It was mainly slushy. Still, I am reluctant to go out because it only takes one ice patch. However, my daughter has to get to work. She called her boss and bought an extra hour, so instead of leaving at 5:30, I don't have to go until 6:30. At least I will be able to test the roads for my wife, who leaves for work at 7:00.
