    I
I now use a ramp for my old dog to get in and out. I built a zip line in the backseat that he is attached to when along for the ride. (I also built a platform for the backseat (he is super spoiled). He can move freely from window to window but is secure if we gotta stop quickly.

They've never seen it before and probably never will again. This is the "snowmageddon" in north Texas. 6 inches yesterday and 6 more coming wednesday. She absolutely loves it though.

Yeah it's pretty wild. TX isn't quite prepared for it like y'all might be. No salt/ice trucks so roads arent great, major power outages statewide, etc. Its been an eventful couple of days with more to come. But at least the dogs can enjoy it haha

Labs are okay to jump up into the trucks. But I never ever let mine jump down. Always grabbed them and set them down.
Peeps look at me crazy but I've had a Lab tear her ACL and it's not very fun. So I don't want that to happen from launching
out of my truck. Seems like most of my labs now don't even want to jump up so I help them up.

This is our little clown nosed snow pup. My daughter absolutely loves him, but he always just gives me an ice cold stare.

Her and I had a fun time making him. I think she is trying to tell me she wants another dog.

Recently got power back after 36 hours without it, while it was 10 degrees outside.

These two were under covers with people the whole time. Now that we’re not in survival mode anymore, they’re still wanting to cuddle.

Every cold spell our cat sleeps under the covers and the dog is on top. But cold for us is low 20s. This 5 degrees crap is crazy.

How cold did it get in your house without power?

52 degrees when we finally got power back.

We don't have a fireplace, but burning jar candles did give us nice ambiance and an extra degree or two.

When my first was born we were able to have someone take a blanket my son had used in the hospital home to my dog and have him check it out. So when we brought my son home he was instantly attached. This time around with mt daughter being born on Saturday we weren't allowed to leave the room or have anyone come in or out. So when we brought her home pepper kind of avoided her. I tried to get him to check her out but he wouldn't. He finally took a few sniffs yesterday and was hooked. Now he won't leave her side.
