They probably think or hope that it's a JDM Tacoma that they can eventually buy.

Because it's a badass awd street legal rally car/go cart. I can build an offroad truck for cheaper and better than toyota can, so a toyota "raptor" does not excite me at all.

I sold both my Fards last year. Wheel bearings went out before 60k miles, valve covers leaked, transmission was replaced 4 times, it used to be a funny joke that FORD referred to FIX OR REPAIR DAILY.

Sadly, it was far too close to reality to be funny anymore.

Ford is making complete and utter mechanical shit that looks good when its new. Seriously, have you attempted to use Sync without wanting to smash the touch screen with a hammer? I don't even attempt to use entune because android auto is great, so I guess I'm just a bad tester.

Voice commands in the Fard make your blood boil as it doesn't understand anything the first try. It makes you feel mentally retarded when you have to say bluetooth 16 times to get your podcast to work and you are already at the office when it finally comes around.

I wouldn't trust ford and a turbo anything to survive more than 5k out of warranty, then they will keep it for 3 months before they can give you any solid answers and by then its cheaper to buy another truck.

I don't buy my vehicles planning to turn them in as soon as the warranty is up and I have swallowed all the depreciation, so I would rather have a 200 hp toyota that lasts 300k miles than a 500 hp Fard that lasts about 50k.

If you are eyeing the new turbo Fards I think you would be better driving your 10 year old toyota a little longer, then wasting some cash on an old C5 corvette that is about worthless now, then drive the wheels off it for a couple years and then slam it into a large tree or put it into the wall at Sebring and walk away.

You would still be financially ahead in the long run.

I like the decal, but that's also the reason why I don't put decals on something unless I'm actually using that product. For example, I think FMF Decals look cool, but the only motorcycle of mine which has an FMF decal on it is running an FMF exhaust.

On another note, who'd of thought that 'Gazoo Racing' was really a thing?! I looked at a Supra once which had the GR tag on the decklid and explained to my GF what it meant. She still doesn't believe me LOL!

I had a 2001 for almost 16 years that had 145,000 miles on it. Was a solid vehicle for my needs with no major issues, just did regular maintenance. Sold it to a buddy and 6 months later the transmission blew up (oil was pouring out) on a forest service road in southern Oregon. I kinda felt bad, but he put a used trans in and traded it in on a Tacoma. Loved my Ranger as well, but can’t see myself going back.

I really wanted to keep it and made it into a bush truck but needed the money and also had no space for it. It only had 145k miles and had MT Mazda tranny(like all rangers), so no issues there. The clutch was still original too. Really miss that little guy.

I see black is your color ;) That’s a nice looking Ranger! Love the wheel and tire set up. You obviously know how to drive an MT since the clutch lasted so long. I also had a 1994 Ranger but an MT, which I like over an auto but tend to go through clutches!

    Thank you sir!

Actually all my vehicles were black and MTs. I just love how black looks when it’s properly taken care of. Never had to replace clutches in any of my vehicles, which was nice. Well I had one silver 2003 accord AT for a short period of time, and I hated it with a passion. Was good looking car though, lowered and had aftermarket headlights.

My first truck I bought in high school, was 1990 Mazda b2200. 5spd and black of course;) Now that thing was made in Japan.

LOL! Every one of my cars except one (69 Bronco) have been silver! Kick myself everyday for selling the Bronco, but needed the money.

I consider myself a "Ford Guy" as I've owned 3 Mustangs (currently own a supercharged 2015 GT and had a '90 GT and a '01 Bullitt GT), '89 F150, '93 Ranger, '95 T-Bird and just traded a '17 F250 for my '20 Tacoma. My 3 favored makes are Ford, Toyota and VW. All that being said, I chose a current Tacoma over the Ranger because I have no faith in the longevity of the EcoBoost line of engines and I have strong faith that re-sale value will stay significantly higher with a Tacoma.

Ford's of the 90's and 00's were not screwed together particularly well. The Ranger was a good truck, never any issues and the 4.0 V6 and MT was a nice combo, unfortunately it was totaled in an accident. The T-Bird was a nice car but the early 4.6 and AT was a weak combo. It also left me stranded 5 hours from home (bad coil pack). The '01 Bullitt was a fun, fun car and one of the best, factory exhaust I have ever heard. However, the assembly quality was laughable. The '15 GT has been perfect and the '17 F250 was a great truck. I just never needed the size and capability of a F250 and the used values are so good I decided to sell while the market was hot.

I assure you that Ford is no longer the company of the old Ranger, which was reliable only because they changed so little from the start in the early 90s.
