I can't imagine what it's like right now for you though. Honestly, I have no idea how you guys deal with this all Winter. Here's our two day forecast right now:

I don't care about the snow except that I happen to be in charge of some significantly sized areas for snow removal.

I just got done brushing my truck off and shoveling our short driveway and it wasn’t too bad. I’m in the suburbs of Chicago so also not Northern WI bad in terms of weather.

Damn southerners and their complaining about the cold. Currently -18 and with a wind chill at -35, probably even worse in the valleys. I think today is the first day we are going to hit above freezing since before the weekend and it is getting to a high of 1. Where I used to live in Minnesota the actual temp is -35 and I've seen -40 on my truck thermometer before.

yeah, -23 overnight for me, and one of my crews had -30 this morning in Brainerd. Real tired of jump starting work vehicles in the mornings.

Send us some BBQ from Arthur Bryant's and/or Gates and we'll take back the cold air. :D:D

Woke up to -40 WC here, even my dogs didn't want to go outside. I'm ready for spring now but understand that we need to have our March and April blizzards before that happens.

    Awwww......maaaannn. You forgot IA.

Yesterday our high temp was -3F. Windchill is in the sub -25F range, peaking around -45F.

Pushing onto 10 days of this frozen he77. At least 2 more days before we sneak above 0F.

Besides, we are generous and we like to share the universal love of frigid temps. Glad you are enjoying. :D:D:p

See, this is what I mean. How do you take your dogs out, for reals? It's a problem right now.

I'll be out in -4/-21 for about an hour today before it hits above 0. My hat is off you you all.

It is an issue, one of my dogs didn't want to go out so kinda pooped right in front of the door inside - I couldn't be upset with her, I wouldn't want to go outside right now either.

I actually do worry about their feet. We'd do dog shoes but their legs are too short.

I have dog bootie type things. It takes awhile to get them on and they get out of them within moments of going outside. So for me they haven't been worth trying to put them on every time. I just keep the outside jaunts short (which they want to come back inside asap too).

Did I mention most of my job is outside too? Although I typically try to not go spend hours in the woods unless it’s at least above 0.

My dog still goes outside, me too. Neither of us like it, walks are short.

These limits are rules of thumb using combined temp & windchill
Below 15F, dog wears a polyfill vest.
Below 10F, dog wears polyfill vest + paw boooties.
Below 0F, walks are drastically shortened.
Below -10F, dog goes backyard by himself. He resists but will make short business trips.
Below -20F, He is offered to go out......sometimes he does......

Below -25F.......no one goes out. We just handle any accidents.

It doesn't take long for a 17 lb dog with 6" ground clearance to get chilled in these temps with snow 18" deep. Dogs can suffer hypothermia just like people.

Take care of your pets in these extreme conditions.

We've been using vests and keeping things very short. One dog at a time. Tedious, but there aren't any options.
