No reason to be nervous, lots of us still waiting for our trucks to go into the dealership to get a new pump in.

No, I wouldn't be. My 2017 doesn't have that recall (although I'm sure it is coming). Very few people have seemed to have issues. This has been more precautionary from my understanding.

Yup, I've had no issues whatsoever with mine, but I'm still on the recall list with no remedy available at the moment.

I had a recall regarding the fuel pump
on my 18. It worked perfectly for almost 3 years, just had the pump replaced about a month ago. Truck drives exactly the same. I wouldn’t worry about it man.

Like others have mentioned, very few people seemed to have issues.

Bit high for a 2017 SR5 w/39k miles, but going rate right now.

Or I could look into this one. I could probably get it for $27k and it has 10k less miles on it than the gray one i am looking at but I'm not crazy about the color.

Look around to find exactly what you want. Quick search I saw a 2016 Sport for $27k w/35k miles and no accidents. Don't be afraid to buy out of state, getting it transported to you is a lot easier than you might think.

IIRC, those using an ethanol blend in their Tacoma and who drive in a warm climate were the most prone to fuel pump failure.

Very few actual failures, even in those categories, with respect to the number of Tacos on the road.

They’re commanding a premium right now, but if you find the right truck pull the trigger and don’t look back!

I have used 91 E0 ever since dealer’s fill ran out. Maybe that made a difference, who knows.

When I took mine in for the new fuel pump the dealer told me they have replaced over 3,000 of them and none had failed. Fear not.

Haven’t had any problems with my 2017. Over 60K miles, 87 octane with 10% ethanol, mostly in north Texas.
