Hey guys I'm looking to get a C4 Hybrid front bumper and Victory Strike II rear bumper installed in the next week or two. Both bumpers involve a bit of cutting to the body (especially the rear) and I'm not comfortable doing it myself.

Any body shop recommendations to get the custom work done? I'm near Danbury at the moment but wouldn't mind a little travel to get good work done. All the shops I've called in the area are less-than-enthusiastic about doing the work I want done.

    Any help is appreciated!

Better to get a 4x4 shop than a regular body shop to do it.

Why is that? Please bear in mind I'm coming from a place of little background knowledge in these matters.

mostly because a 4x4 specific shop might be more enthusiastic about installing some armor, where as a body shop just wants to deal with straight froward body work and plastic bumpers...

my guess would be a regular body shop does not want to get involved lifting heavy metal bumpers

    OP,

I am in NY and the pickings are slim. Danbury is a bit of a drive but not far from these two places. I have been to the American Tire shop -- and they are very good people. The other I have driven by but have not visited. Hope these two will help you:
