HAHA! True. But I’m only spending $5k on the ring so it’s not like I’m breaking the bank. I would just like to make one big purchase at a time. The 6” lift took a nice $6k chunk out of my wallet about a month ago.

The old timers would say 4wd allows you to get in deeper/further before getting stuck...

If she's cool with you dumping all of your extra money into the truck, buy that ring! I hear about guys having to hide their hobby spending from their wives, and it doesn't make sense.

Would a wheel with a negative offset clear the spindles?

The forbidden RC drop bracket lift but with the trd pro suspension still.
    SPC UCAs
    Cooper 315/75
Manual tranny no regear although one wouldn't hurt but I dont think I need 5.29s and justifying the expense for 4.88s is difficult.

thats an older pic those were wranglers I have coopers now. I like them a lot better and they wear better but theres a pull to the right side.

Yeah she’s been super cool about me messing with my truck.

I’d have to find a balance between the wheel being too wide and having enough back space. 17x8 would work with something like -30 offset I think.

I think I saw some 17's with -38mm offset when I was looking for wheels a few months ago. I'm loving these Black Rhinos, but they're 0 offset. They have other wheels with different offset options, though.

Yeah I’m sure if I do some research there is a perfect wheel out there. Hopefully I can stay with 17s!

Hmmm, 2WD with a 4-6" lift, my first question is why? You don't say how much the boat weighs, maybe a heavier load leaf pack? Or airbags? I don't believe a lift will provide anything you need for a bit of towing and drive on Forestry trails.
