My buddy is hounding me to look through my old baseball cards because they are exploding in value... something about all this GameStop volatility noise and investors taking on actual physical investments...such as cards.

So I started to peruse through some of my cards... and sadly, my drug addict father lost all my cards from the early 80s, and I had to start over again in the early 90's...

Found a few Jeter's and KGJ's that are of some value, but nothing I am going to retire from...

What do you have in your stash that might tickle your fancy... curious to know what you collected back in the day.

I have so many from growing up in the '70s and '80s, but the best cards are the ones my father left me.

This is great news, I still have my collection!

One of the best things when I’m feeling shitty is to look at my cards, takes me back to the good ol days when life was perfect.

Is Beckett still the place to look for value? I’d be curious!

Yeah, but I think they make you subscribe...
There is a PSA website you can peruse, and to get a good feel, there is always Ebay and Amazon.
They give you a reality check on what is being sold and bought out there.
I had one today worth a couple hundred, rough estimate. Not worth getting rid of if I can pass it down to my son.

Growing up card prices were determined in books like Becketts, now browsing the eBay sold prices give a good idea of real-world prices.

Yeah I’ve been outta the loop quite a while......

Anything as cool as your childhood card collection is invaluable. Wouldn’t part with it but have always wondered if they’d appreciate.

I mowed prolly about 25 lawns back in the day to afford an 86 Donruss Canseco Rookie card for $100 or so. It’s displayed in my garage to this day.

Ha...! I was a huge bash brothers fan... McGwire was my man. Grew up in Sacramento, so I migrated towards the A's... I probably have 200 mcgwire cards... probably not worth much now, but with all of those, and the memoribilia.... my man cave, some day, will be rocking!

That brings back memories, as I have that 86 Donruss Canseco Rookie card in my den, as an unopened cello rack pack with Canseco's card on the top.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Gary Vaynerchuk (V) does a ton of stuff about investing in Cards. He's on all the major platforms + Youtube to watch his stuff. I mean, he dabbles in everything that makes him money, but he is knowledgeable.
