I wonder if that’s the one that used to be in San Antonio on Lackland AFB. Dude kept getting in trouble for bumpers being too high.

These Mustangs are used to raise funds to restore a Spitfire to flying condition

2 Squadron is known as "The Flying Cheetahs", they flew Spitfires in North Africa and Mustangs and Sabres in Korea

I would want a ‘69 GTO painted up like a P-51D with Normandy invasion stripes.

Time to get some Easy Off and repaint one of my models, because that would be awesome!

No, Northern Colorado. I’ve got some good photos of it somewhere which I’ll post up when I find them. These were shots I took of it a couple of nights ago driving along next to it in a snow storm.

This was my dad’s. Only thing missing were the stock wheels and lime green paint... He sold it cause he was worried someone would take the passenger side mirror or the shaker hood scoop. I believe he got $25k for it in 93.

If you find a 1971 'Cuda in 440 or 426 under $150k, you should get one or both.

The 440; it will be louder and obviously more streetable and you will not worry about driving it.
The 426; it will be quieter and you will be a nervous nelly driving it as its a very rare combination of year of car, color of car, and engine.

    Good Luck

Well aware, but thanks for the reminder! :rofl:I remember reading a car magazine in the grocery store as a kid, came across a classified add for a 71 Hemi 'Cuda in Sassy Grass...I fell in love. I think the price was somewhere around $20-25K. I actually ripped out the picture and carried it in my wallet for the next decade or so. :D Then the muscle car market completely exploded, Nash Bridges brought the 71 Hemi 'Cuda convertible into every living room in America, and my dream car became completely untouchable. I ditched that picture and got into Jeeps. Bought a 1979 Cherokee Chief as my first Jeep.
