    Hello,
I bought a 2016 Tacoma a couple months ago and noticed my sliding rear window was rattling, after inspecting, it looks like some of my gasket has deteriorated and is missing (see pictures). I called the dealership to see if they sell the gasket but they told me I would have to replace my whole rear window, not just the sliding window, and said it would be $1,000 dollars for the replacement.

So I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to reseal the sliding window without replacing anything? Or if anyone knows the depth of the gasket so I can order a univeral gasket, that would be great as well.

    Thanks! thumbnail_IMG_8396.jpg thumbnail_IMG_8398.jpg

Maybe local glass repair shops could reseal it?

If it doesn’t leak I wouldn’t worry about it. Otherwise, check the junkyards.
