I think the guy l bought my house from is really starting to lose it. Last week l heard an engine racing, he tried to drive his Silverado over a pile of snow l had made and got stuck tearing up my yard and driveway. Just a minute ago l heard an engine racing again and he had his Equinox stuck in my back yard after plowing over all the snow l had piled up. I have absolutely no idea why he just didn't go in his driveway but once l dug him out he drove through another section of my yard and down over the hillside and eventually to his house.

I was wondering if it was a bad idea to put patches where the side curtain airbags are supposed to come out...?

Don't see an issue; that panel is going to be pushed aside if the airbag deploys.

There are designed failure seams where the air bag is to deploy. Covering or partial covering of these seams may affect the air bag deployment.

You are probably ok, if you know the location of the seams and apply without covering the seams.

    Frankly, I wouldn't.

Sometimes, I wish I'd gotten my learner's permit sooner than I did; I would have ended up with a 2007-2008 model and not had to worry about the damn airbags! Ditto for the bucket seat conversion; I found a set of SR5 buckets a couple years back for $350 (with side airbags). I was all set to buy them, but I did some research and found out that other people with 2009-newer RCs who'd done this swap had issues connecting the bucket seat airbags to the truck, which resulted in the airbag light perpetually being on. If there's one thing my OCD will not allow, it's a chronic warning light on my gauge cluster!

This is one thing that really annoys me; The TPMS/low pressure warning light (specifically simplistic systems that consist only of a warning light)!

    :annoyed:

In Pennsylvania, you automatically fail both the emissions and safety inspections if your CEL is on; I was also informed that a constantly illuminated parking brake warning light will cause a vehicle to fail, but I don't know for sure...?

Anyway, an illuminated TPMS light will not cause a vehicle to fail PA State Inspection, and as such quite a few people I know have such lights that are perpetually aglow. I have this thing about warning lights; Basically, I have OCD and it unnerves me having to stare at ANY warning light while I'm driving! I've had to replace one TPMS sensor as a result of it going bad, and I had to replace another when an asshole tire jockey at BJ's Tire center snapped it as a result of removing the tire from the rim incorrectly.

My dad's 2018 Yukon, my boss's 2015 Escalade, and my company's brand new 2020 Pacificas all have a fancy system that not only tells you which tire has the issue, but also the exact tire pressure in each tire! This system has thoroughly spoiled me, and I've come to view my truck's simplistic and downright archaic system as more of a hindrance than a help! My mom's 2013 Murano has the same simplistic system that just consists of a rudimentary warning light...

    :annoyed:

Speaking of the police, I kinda sorta made friends with the officer who pulled me over for rolling a stop sign last October; I subsequently ran into him again the parking lot of Wawa while on a snack run during a power outage. We got to chatting, and, and before he went back on patrol the conversation ended with him saying "If you need anything, gimme a call"...

I'm hoping that this applies to arranging a ride-along once COVID is under control! A police ride-along is something I've been wanting to do for a very long time!

My truck also tells you the individual pressures too, much better than a dummy light.
