I have a 97 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L V6 4WD Xtracab that I’m wanting to build. Its 100% stock and I was thinking of starting with a 3” lift and putting 285s on it, I currently have 265s right now. any tips or suggestions for first mods?7EAA2F42-3B1A-4420-A0A0-16DF41BEF8E8.jpg

Stay at or below 2 1/2" lift unless you want to drop the front differential, carrier bearing and shim the rear axle plus adding HD CVs.

    Welcome to TW

You have plenty of options for lifts: Bilstein, Fox, Icon, ADS, King are all great options that vary greatly on price and ride quality.
    Bilstein is great

Also kinda depends what kind of off-roading you’re doing too
