5100s backordered everywhere

Am I bad at searching or has everyone used their stimulus check to mod their truck? Everywhere I look 5100s are sold out unless its a $500 set of 4, or for 1st or 3rd gen years.

Is that the going rate these days?

 

Invest in something better then 5100s

I am having the same issue. I did my rear a few months ago so I just need the fronts. I've searched and emailed so many places. Ebay sellers claim they have them but they are all sold out too.

Wait a few months into spring and I bet they will be over stocked and cheaper if that's what you want to go with. I am in the same boat. I get my bed rack soon and want to put my Broverland tent on, so am looking for a little beefier suspension. I would suspect... just guessing here... everyone got them due to Covid to forego hotel camping. Since the vaccine is in place, and most states are reporting lower numbers, people are going to get back to regular life. Distributors are probably ordering a bunch now, and will see a slower purchase rate in spring when things get back to normal.
I am hedging my bets on cheaper prices once spring hits.

Covid shut down production on virtually everything back when this all started for a solid few months if not more, we're still feeling the repercussions of that. Not to mention probably a lot of people taking advantage of the down time by ordering/installing parts. Shipping delays, etc. Threw a wrench in everything really

For my driving and living in the rust belt I’ll never be able to justify the price tag of Fox, King, ADS, Icon, etc over Billys

I ordered a set of Kings mid November that just shipped two days ago... Demand>production. When manufacturers don't believe a long term trend is forming they don't invest in gearing up. So Covid slows down production chains, stimy dollars increase demand a bit, and the manufacturer stays the course because this is an artificial blip not a long term trend.

Interesting to see it in anything that gets you out of the house.. boats, trampolines,even rain gear. If this keeps up we might just see sellers start to increase prices...

 

Wouldn't be surprised at all if they do especially here in this fucked up state
