Currently running 285/70r17 General Grabber X3’s.

They’ve been a great tire for the money, however I’m always looking to try something new.

I have a CMC and a lift and have had no problem clearing my 285/70s. I know the 285/75’s are roughly an inch taller but are they any wider? Will I run into more rubbing and UCA clearance issues with this small change up in tire size?

Also, what’s your favorite tire you’ve ran on your taco? I’ve had Duratracs, Maxxis Big Horns, and now these Grabbers. Really like the STT Pro by Cooper but it does snow in my area and I’ve read that snow are those tires major downfall. Also interested in the KM3 by BFG. Would love to hear your opinions.

Suprised nobody has commented. Usually theres some smart ass remarks about searching lol. I am currently running 285/70R17 Ridge grapplers on about a 2.5"ish lift. They suck in the rain but do great in the snow. Hindsight I probably should have went with the 75's because the 70's look a little small. I will probably have to do a cmc and some plastic trimming though. If you end up getting the 75's id be interested to see how they worked out.

Wish I'd have seen this one before now. Anyhow, this site is the best thing I've found. You can hit the 'tire comparison' tab there on the left side and it'll show you side by side how they'll be different. Also surprised no one directed you to this.

Using the calculator, looks like they'll be the same width. You should be fine.
