I'm having a weird issue with the driver side rear window in my 17 double cab. I can control the window from the drivers door, but nothing happens when the switch is used on the rear door itself. I thought maybe it was a bad switch, so I tried swapping them out with no luck.

Before I dig too far into this, has anyone else had this issue before or know how to fix it?

    Thanks guys.

Did this happen all the sudden or have you replaced the battery lately?

No battery replacement lately. Would that trigger something?

I have an access cab now so no moving rear window, but is it possible that there is a lock out button that the driver controls (on driver’s door) that will allow the driver access to raise/lower rear windows but not the back seat occupant? That’s probably too easy of a solution but just in case.

    Check the master switch wires.

When I had my Lexus, I replaced the battery. For all the windows to work from the mater switch you had to go to each door and lower the window all the way down and all the way up for it work on the master switch.

In my experience of Toyota vehicles, I have never know a switch to go bad. "American" cars, they go bad all the time.

Thanks for the replies guys. Child lock was my first thought but of course it couldn't be that simple.

Any aftermarket doodads? It could have stopped when you installed something and you're just now noticing it's ever effects.

A couple of light bars and ditch lights. I'll double check all the connections and make sure nothing is interfering.
