I bought a 2014 Prerunner today, the driver window will not operate, I have read in other threads that changing a battery could cause window problems, but never the drivers window, the battery was changed out at the dealer, any help will be appreciated

Never heard of a battery causing a window problem.

You bought it at a dealer?

Don't you have a warranty of some sort? At least 30 days or some such?

    Take it back.

Either take it back to the dealer if it's under warranty or remove the driver's window switch and test for voltage or visual corrosion.

A battery swap can affect window operation and could require a reset

Most likely a loose wire, bad switch or corrosion. It's a 2014 truck......7 years old.

Pull the door panel. Start checking the wires. Then the switch. A DMM (Digital MultiMeter) can be very useful for measuring voltage, resistance......

    I'm willing to learn.

    Please explain how.

And citation of sources would be helpful too.

    Thanks

On vehicles that use the ECU to determine window position, yes, but on 2nd gen Tacos, no.

Does the drivers door switch panel make the other window(s) operate?

As mentioned, the dealer should be taking care of this. If they balk, tell them it’s a safety issue. If you’re in an accident and the door won’t open, you need to be able to roll the window down to climb out.
