soo... looking to get either 285/70/17 or 295/70/17 in the next few months.. will it?, or through some mods (cut exhaust downturn, and move the hoist location, remove factory tow hitch (dont think this helps it, but...)

I am also looking to remove the stock shackle hangars and replace them with the archive garage hammer hangars without the tie bar... reason I ask is looking at rear bumpers, and.. well would like to avoid a tire carrier if possible... yes truck is lifted Dobinson 2.4" MRA/MRR kit with ECGS bushing. It will be getting a 1/4" spacer to help clear the tires, and a CMC/BMC pinch welds, and whatnot....

I have a 285/70r17 AT tire in the stock location with no modification, but it was a very snug fit. The MT would probably require some minor modification (hammer time!), not sure how much the 295 will need.

Hey looks like it’s been a while since you posted this…just curious, were you able to make it work?

I’ve got 295 Yoko’s on the way and I moved the spare tire hoist back about 1”and also just installed the R4T high clearance exhaust that turns down before the axle. That’s about all I knew to do to prepare for a larger spare. I guess I’ll find out next week.

I made it work... 285/70/17 ATX... I removed the stock spare winch and drilled a new set of holes for it about and inch back... then rebolted it in.. and kinda bent the tire position piece outwards a little.. the tire sits further back towards the hitch.. but it fits.. and if I trimmed the exhaust to do an axle dump.. I'm sure I could fit a 295/70/17... but I am likely going to get a 285/75/17 in the future.. for now it sits like this..
