I have seen several videos on YouTube and I am new to the forum but I come here because it seems like the forums people have much better knowledge than the youtube and other things we see.

I am looking for a slight lift on my 21 TRD off road and am running the TRD 17” pro wheels and Falken AT3 in 265/70/17.

I was thinking 3” front, 2” rear but I don’t want tires look way to small based on the lift which can look a little goofy. I went with 265 vs 285 for the weight and keep speedo/ratios a little closer to stock.

I am now thinking 3” front and 2”rear might be pushing it in tires looking too small but 2”/1” being not enough lift. So now thinking 2.5”f/1.5” rear be way to go?

I imagine there has been a zillion threads on this but I can’t seem to find them. So if anyone has a link, that would be awesome too.

I’ll include a pic of truck in current state. And a pic below it of what I prefer

I have the same size tires, with 5100s all around w/ 2" in the front and 1" in the rear + an add-a-leaf. Imo I'm already bordering on the tires looking too small.

I dont know dude. Seems to look about right to me. How far out are the tires from the body/fender? I don't want to go bigger because I hear the 285 are SUPER heavy and I don't want to add a ton more rotational and unsprung mass to the equation. So looks to me like 2/1" or maybe 2.5/1.5" is about where I want to be for that look with that size tires

would love to see some other angles of yours!!

2.5" would make your tires look too small in my opinion. I'd stick with 2" and under. Unless you plan to go 33s of course :)

33s look perfect on these trucks with a leveling kit. Stock pro with 285s.4A891F45-7DA9-4B27-9FD4-5169800C909F.jpg

I'll vote to leave it as is.

Remove the sidesteps and shoot the lower pinchweld black. Both will give the illusion of the truck being higher.
