So I got this 2016 Tacoma 4x4 sport long bed, I noticed a small oil leak on n my driveway, which I thought was weird on a new truck, sure enough,it’s power steering pump leak, stealership said I am out of warranty be Ouse I am over the 80k miles..! Any light in the right direction from anyone would be nice, I do have 285-75-R18 with toy tech boss lift kit on it,but doubt that it is the lift that is putting to much pressure on steering pump. ‍♂️

Be sure its the power steering pump, the oil from timing cover leaks appear as power steering pumps.

That said I've seen one fail and it pisses fluid out like crazy.

They aren't super hard to change, about the same as an alternator with 2 hoses attached.

You can also just buy a new seal, gasket, or full gasket kit for the pump and repair it.

04446-02140 or 04446-32050 - Gasket Kit, Power Steering Pump

    Kit contains:

    90311-15012 or 90080-31071 - Oil Seal, Front
    90301-16012 - O-Ring, Housing Inner
    90301-45003 - O-Ring, Housing Outer
    90520-10003 or 90080-52033 - Snap Ring, Shaft
    90903-01007 - Gasket, Rear Cover
    90301-11020 - O-Ring, Suction Port
    90301-18009 - O-Ring, Pressure Port

Definitely find the source before you tear in to things. As @Bishop84 mentioned, it could be a timing cover leak, that I've read is common on earlier 3rd tens, and unfortunately is also a very big job.

Try the dye and blacklight system, fairly cheap and easy
