It's come to my attention nobody utilizes the hole in the Metra speaker rings. There exists a square cutout for passing the speaker wiring.

It's easy to do, just follow these steps:
    1. They cut a hole in the ring
    2. Put your junk in that ring
    3. Make her connections in the ring

It's your junk in a hole!

Could be the most worthless post I’ve ever read.

Guys people use tires on their wheels and flush turds down toilets.

Everyone uses those holes. And some people use the metra holes too.

I would seal that hole with some foam as it's an air leak that could impact bass response.

Either you’re not around here much sure you look down fairly selectively.

In each of the YouTube videos I watched to familiarize myself with the procedure, the speaker was wired differently each time and none of them utilized the passageway engineered for the task.

True wisdom from the guy with 120 posts.

if you think no one uses a designed hole bc you watched two videos where they didn’t you’re on crack

we good though bc your post was funny

2 YouTube videos = nobody. Ok.

    delusions of grandeur

still butthurt after 38k posts i see.

yall need to chill. if you think people dont use a hole clearly designed for the wire you are a complete fool, don’t defend the indefensible.

turds of a feather flush together

admit it you have a crush on me

now if you’re calling OP a twat that is not nice and the moderators will punish you with a two week ban for misogynist comments unbecoming of a Tacoma owner bc everyone is equal here right lol.

Not to be “one of those people”, but if the video you watched didn’t use that hole, I would trust them as a source of advice. Any halfway decent installer, or individual, uses those holes.

For future reference on car audio, check out the 5 star audio (or some crap like that) video. They have a ton of videos and explain everything really well.
