It requires a longer J-hook on one side, so I have written back to them for the longer J-hook so I can put it on. I am waiting to get it, so I can install it. I will reply here with a photo when I get it installed.

Mostly likely anywhere. I need to wire it to a dedicated switch so I know off is off no matter what. You can cycle through different colors and patterns, which I don't care about. There's a small remote with 4 buttons that it came with to turn it on/off.

Cleaned up the original artwork I used for the custom splash screen on the aftermarket head unit.

    Original (Photoshop):
    upload_2021-2-19_16-48-48.jpg

Revised (Illustrator): Created AC/DC variations, recomposed Taco logo. This is not the final rendering, only comps of options.
    upload_2021-2-19_16-49-45.jpg

Edit: If anyone wants this for their own headunit let me know: the resolution needed, whether you want the truck/rocks included, whether the truck should be AC/DC.

    Edit2: Links below!

I mounted my ham radio head unit and mic to my DMM. I designed a simple bracket to support the mic clip. Top notch work I'd say.

So installed the rek gen's the other day, got the rub at full lock and reverse. First made a 3d printed flush retainer that fit around the bolt head but then ran to the hardware store for cap screw and cut the hose spacer down to 1". That's what I did today other than drive it.

To be clear, I added the sound post recording. The linked product does NOT make sounds. It just blinks.

Also, I may or may not have driven 15 minutes to a friend's place with it on. I pulled the battery earlier that day for about 20 minutes. This thing did turn itself on after reconnecting the battery. Luckily didn't get popped for it.

My spouse said if I did this mod I would have to have sound. This is going to be more complicated than I hoped.

Download the scanning shooshing sound, loop it on a single track, burn it to CD/put on phone. Bam!

How much is the BAMF part? Couldn't I just just spackle over that and hit it with some paint?

In the last few days, did the 5100’s, OME 887, + Wheelers AAL and drivers side 1/4” top plate spacer. Then added the tall/skinny 255/85/16 Falken MT’s. Doing ECGS bushing as soon as it arrives too. Love the look. Got it aligned but need to go back and see if they can add more caster. Steering is definitely touchy on the highway.

A DIY one. Cheap, works just as good, durability depends on which actuator you get but they are like 2 for $10 and many people have had theirs for 3+ years and if you are doing a DIY you can make it less loud than pop n lock or OEM.

I did the same thing. Ran the wires under the truck up through the grommet under the passenger seat then under the dash to the panel on the left side of the steering wheel. Ran power through the fire wall to the battery. Took more time but wanted something a little different.
