No specific mention of trim level in any of the final paperwork - just VIN.

Looking at some comps now. Considering all of the options (e.g. leather interior, premium audio + nav, TRD hard tonneau, TRD pro wheels), the price was probably about right.

I've got a buddy at the dealership, so hopefully we can come to some amicable solution.

That sucks, but I doubt you’ll get anything out of the dealership. Best of luck and enjoy the truck!

This sucks buddy, if you are happy with it I would keep it but not unless they discount it (assuming you paid Pro price). Big difference mechanically between the Pro and the Sport. Or just get them to give you an Offroad since it's 99% the same as the Pro.

I'm not a lawyer and know jack shit, but has anyone reached out to their AG in situations like this and what was the result.

I was primarily interested in its non-performance options, so I'm definitely happy with it.

Honestly, I don't see much (if any) serious off-roading in my future, which is probably why I completely overlooked the missing off-road controls. That said, I'm sure the Sport will meet the needs for 99% of my driving.

Caveat Emptor....nothing substantial to be gained from pursuing a claim. Most every auto dealership advertisement has a disclaimer regarding "typos" in the description or pricing. If the words "TRD Pro" don't appear anywhere in your sales contract, you're pretty much at their discretion as to whether they help you out, or not.

I'm sure it will, the issue is you paid a premium for a Pro and if you are looking to trade that in then the Pro will have a higher value than the Sport. I absolutely love the TRD Sport, however if I paid for a Pro and got anything other than a Pro I'd be making some calls.

Just to add, aren’t the Pros made in TX?

That was my understanding as well. I found a few things suggesting they weren't available in Black for 2017, either.

Lots of things that weren't adding up that I'm glad you guys were able to help identify, though I wish I had done this digging before buying.
