Plug and Play Brake Light taps

Its really new, so a 2021 I believe. Id like to tap the brake and the reverse light if you have those?

 

reverse is a separate connector (2 pin) from the taillight/stop light connector (3 pin). EWD will be coming shortly to show that. just gotta convert that one to a pdf since its the newer style EWD

 

So kind of like the 3rd gen Tacoma? That's doable

yea apparently toyota felt like going backwards and removing the nice pigtails the older trucks had.

 

Do you know the part numbers on R4/R5 (brake light) and R15/R16 (back up light)? They look familiar, but after a while, all the TS090 and 090II start to look alike

That’s perfect. I actually have all of those already. Corsa-technic made a mistake in an order and sent me the 90980-11019s. I offered to send them back as I never had a use for them, but they said it wasn’t necessary, so I kept them “just in case”. Looks like it paid off

 

i see you too are a corsa technic customer. i got 150 of the pins for the older trucks wiper and light switches from them recently

 

They are great! I am trying to get them to expand their catalog a little. This brake tap in this thread is the perfect example. They carry the female, but not the male. So I have to get the males out of Japan, which runs $20 for shipping. That makes it kind of expensive to DIY one of these. If Corsa would carry both, you could actually DIY it for a more reasonable price. Of course, even if they did, by the time you buy the connectors, wire, and terminals, mine at $25 are a still a really great deal. Maybe I should charge more?

if they stocked the 0.64 terminals male and female i'd be the happiest man on earth. but they dont. lol

ask any time you need an EWD. i can dig up most anything after 89

Those are the same the Tacoma uses for the turn signals. Incandescent Turn/DRL and the incandescent turn 2 pin on Taco's with LED DRL's.

 

That's why I got lucky and have them. Except the female 2 pin, which in the words of Bob Ross, was a "happy little accident"
